Our first visit to Lima Soul was such a wonderful surprise! I had never tried Peruvian cuisine before, so we arrived without any preconceived ideas. It’s safe to say we were impressed, and we absolutely cannot wait to return! The food was creative, beautiful, and packed with flavor. The service was attentive and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere was fabulous. But what made our experience especially memorable was the chef himself. Not only is he the chef and owner, but he is also the evening’s live entertainment! Between songs, he took the time to walk around, greet his guests, and personally thank everyone for coming. That genuine hospitality really stood out to us. We had the pleasure of chatting with the chef/owner and his wife, the co-owner and hospitality director. They shared that Lima Soul celebrates the history, traditions, and soul of Peru while drawing inspiration from ingredients, flavors, and cooking techniques from around the world. A few dishes we highly recommend: the Trío Cevichero, the Causa de Cangrejo (yellow potato and crab), the Peruvian-style roasted chicken, and the char-grilled octopus. And whatever you do, don’t skip the signature Pisco Passionfruit Sour. It was absolutely delicious and the perfect complement to the meal! We are so happy to have discovered this new local gem in downtown Frederick. Lima Soul offers delicious food, genuine hospitality, a fantastic atmosphere, and an experience that goes well beyond dinner. We highly recommend giving it a try, we’ll definitely be back!

Stopped in for a light lunch. The leche de tigre was exactly what I want in a ceviche. Fresh and acidic, with little pops of crunchy corn and cilantro and sweet potato. Empanadas were flaky and delicious. Restaurant is clean and service was attentive. Our meal also included a fun little free bonus of some addictive toasted corn (similar to salted nuts but better). A contender for best restaurant in downtown. I will be going back for a proper dinner asap.

Great atmosphere. The chefs real passion is singing which is great and his cooking is outstanding. The beef loin was delicious and the ceviche entree was great. One of the best restaurants in Fredrick!
